So I finally get to test it out. Sadly I found it had problems and it was way too late to return. The radio receives fine. Where it let me down is with transmit. Tune put out a carrier for the tuner but then quit. On SSB I was able to check into an 80m net but after a couple of transmissions the TX quit working. It still works sometimes but needs some help to fix it! Most everything for setting this rig up and configuring the radio, including alignment looks to be done in the menus. There are also various firmware upgraded available that may fix and solve problems. I don’t have the time or interest in playing around with it.
